Custom orders & BRIDAL REGISTRY - Joy Creek Pottery : Whether you're getting hitched, or just making a fresh start, pamper yourself with handmade dinnerware. I was pleased to provide this service in May 08 for Dawn & Marcus' July 4th, 2008 Wedding. They saw a sampling of my work at SOS, came to the web site, called, visited my studio, selected colors, sizes and design to meet their needs. How does it work? Once pieces and prices are finalized (quoted and accepted), you pay a 1/4 materials deposit on the order total, and I begin production of your set. Remember to include serving pieces, and other kitchen basics as well. You sign a simple agreement to pay for any "ungifted" ordered items remaining at completion, with the original deposit refunded to you if all pieces are purchased as a gift. Standard delivery/production time is 2 months, so WE NEED TO START WELL BEFORE THE WEDDING DATE. Your guests can view, choose and purchase your gift in a special Wedding Gallery on my site, without leaving home. Just send out the email link I provide, and gift buying becomes simple! I accept Paypal (will send an invoice when they email me their choices), cash or check. Via email, I'll keep you posted as pieces are paid for, and keep a spread sheet of who has "gifted" what, which you'll receive at time of delivery/pickup as well! If you're local or within driving distance, avoid shipping costs with studio pickup of your entire order. (Asheville is a great city for a weekend getaway.)
